  • The situation

Claude Code stops at 11 pm: “usage limit reached”. The reset is at 1 am, and you’re asleep by then.

  • What Watchbird does

Watchbird remembers the session and types “Continue where you left off.” into its terminal one minute after the reset. The card shows the time and a countdown.

  • How you use it

Nothing to do — it’s on from the start. Change the message, or switch it off, in Settings → Rules & automation.

  • What you need

Claude Code or Codex in a terminal window. In the Claude app or an editor extension Watchbird only lets you know.

  • Your data

Watchbird reads the limits through the login your agent already has. Your credentials stay with the agent.

Limits & auto-resume

Step by step

  1. 01A session stops on its usage limit.

  3. 03One minute after the reset Watchbird types the message into the session — only after two minutes without keyboard or mouse input, so it never types into your work.
  4. 04The history lists every resume.
The limit card: Watchbird continues fix-auth-bug at the reset time, with a countdown and a Cancel button.
The Usage tab: Claude and Codex plan limits, Gemini CLI requests and context per session.

  • Before it happens

At 80 % of a limit the usage tab warns you, so you can plan.
